Counselling changes lives

What is counselling and psychotherapy?

Therapy provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns. As your therapist, I will help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others. We all need a space to be able to process what’s going on for us, and counselling and psychotherapy is a way to explore your thoughts and feelings.

As a counsellor, I will not give you my direct opinions or prescribe medication. Instead, I will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems. I believe greater awareness and knowledge may lead to a better mental well being. I may offer some interventions and interpretations to give you a different way of looking at things, always biased towards your own well being.

Who are you? Who do you want to be? Where is your place in your community and the world? What can you do? Let's explore these together.
