Theoretical Approach:
I work integratively, drawing on a variety of complementary modalities such as solution-focused, psychodynamic, and existential approaches. My practice is also influenced by my interests and investments in critical psychology, postcolonial theory, socialism and anarchism, and spiritual principles. As a Filipino-Mexican-American, I bring a unique perspective, particularly when it comes to issues of immigration, identity, otherness, cultural dynamics, self-esteem, racism, and confidence.
Above all, my aim is to support, empower, and listen to you, tailoring our sessions to your unique needs and preferences. I am committed to helping you explore and find what you truly need, fostering a space of care and understanding. I always say that my priority with every client is having their well being in mind from the moment we start working together.
We may discuss things like your past, future goals, culture, and the world around us to help you better understand your emotions. I believe that everyone has the ability to grow and make positive changes. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths, empower you to express yourself, and help you find your sense of self in your relationships and community.
